The H.B. Emery and Hollis Elementary libraries both serve students in grades K through 5.  Students at these schools have library class every week.  Please ask your child when he or she has library !  Students in grades k and 1 are allowed to check out one book a week.  Children in grades 2,3,4,and 5 are able to check out at least two books, and often have more as needed for special projects, book buddies, etc.   Students are encouraged to bring their books back every week.   Our libraries catalog and circulation are automated with the Alexandria library system.  We have many dedicated library volunteers who help our children choose books and check out books at library time.  Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering at your child's library.

MSAD#6 Student Book Award Progam Our grade 4 and 5 students are participating in a reading incentive program. Each class has a crate full of paperback books , both fiction and nonfiction. Students are asked to keep track of the books they have read and in the spring when the project ends, all students who have read at least 5 of the "crate books" will participate in an ice cream party ! Please ask your 4th or 5th grader about their crate books !
