Favorite Web 2.0 Tools
Animoto is a free web tool that allows you to create 30 second photo slideshows accompanied by music. You can request a free teacher account and have access to more features and longer slideshows. Slideshows will have an embed code so you can post your creation on your blog or wiki. |
Flickr is a free photo sharing, storing, and editing tool. You can also upload 2 videos per month. This tool also has an embed code to post your photos or videos on your blog or wiki. |
Glogster is a free tool that allows you to create virtual posters. The poster can include not only photos and words, but also videos and links. This tool also has an embed code to post your virtual poster on your blog or wiki. |
Survey Monkey is a free survey or quiz tool. This tool aso has an embed code to post your survey on your blog or wiki. |
VoiceThread is a free tool that allows users to create commentary to go along with photographs. Anybody can leave a text, voice, or video comment. This tool also has an embed code to post your creation on your blog or wiki. |
Vocaroo is a free simple tool that allows the user to record their voice to post on a blog or wiki, or even send in an email. |
Quizlet is a free web tool that allows you to create games using vocabulary words. This tool also has an embed code to post your games on your blog or wiki. |
BrainPopJr is a wonderful site full of useful short videos for all subjects. Students can take a quiz after watching the video. There are also on-line activities and printables. Our district has a subscription to this site. If you need the user name and password, you can email me. |
Xtranormal is an extremely fun, easy, and free way to create an animated movie. Teachers can create movies to share information or students can create movies to demonstrate what they have learned. The movies can be embedded on your blog or wiki. |
ToonDoo is a fabulous, fun, and easy comic creating site. An educator can create an account that can be used by the students simultaneously. The comics can be embedded on a blog and/or a wiki. |
Screencast-O-Matic is a free web tool that allows you to create a video capturing your voice and everything on your computer screen. This tool is helpful in making tutorials to help others learn how to use the computer or videos showcasing work you have done on the computer. |

| How to Tutorials This wiki has been created with students, parents, and educators in mind. Teachers and students will both be adding tutorials to this site that will range from how to write an article in classblogmeister to how to add numbers using the partial products method.
