Here's what is coming up this week...
Math: area of parallelograms and triangle, world area measurements
Unit 8 test will be Thursday and Friday (3-18 + 19) I am sending a review sheet with this notice. Look at the bottom of my web page.
Social Studies: I have put the quiz off until next Thursday the 18th. The students have a word search with the states and capitals for studying purposes. Ask them to show it to you. Please have them be ready!!! We will begin talking about geography, climate, and immigration next week.
Language Arts: We will be finishing our persuasive essays with Mrs. Esty. Our reading revolves around the skills of "theme", and phrasing in our fluency practice. We will be reading fairy tales, and pourquoi tales.
This week's robust vocabulary words are: vast, bountiful, stature, relentless, roused, resourceful, intentions, and inadvertently
Spelling: our focus words are: power, problem, longer, winter, and deep
skills: how to use "er" and "est" correctly

I will be giving every family a reflection sheet after our conference. Please fill it out and send it back in so that your child and I can continually reflect on how their goals are being met for the rest of the year. Have a great weekend.
