Try the new sites to the left!

Welcome back! I have collected some game sites and math resource sites for you.  They are great for practice and for fun.  Share them with your parents too. Have fun!  Let me know which sites you like the best.

Check out the links at the top of the page to learn more about Title 1 Math, the Maine Learning Results, or me :-)

Parents:  The way we all learned to add, subtract, multiply, and divide is not the same as the way the students are learning today.  There is a site link in the yellow buttons above about each of the new algorithms used in Everyday Mathematics.  It has a video demonstration about each of the new methods. There are additional parent links to learn more about Everyday Mathematics.  Please contact me if you would like some help to understand the new methods your child is learning.

                                                                        With math in mind,

Student Reference Books
EDM Student Reference Books are like a math encyclopedia for each grade. They explain topics in detail and contain the rules for many games. Please remember this very useful resource when doing homework!

Before School Math Club
Three times a year, I offer a before school math program to practice skills presented in the classroom. Each program is specifically geared to one grade so that the group remains small and focused. Invitations are sent home with the student.

Math Success
Math requires an attitude as well as a skill. With a positive attitude and the willingness to try, math is a subject with rewards that just keep multiplying!

2010 Spring Math Meet
Save the date! The Spring Math Meet for 4th, 5th and 6th grade students will be held at Bonny Eagle High School on the morning of April 3rd.
