Hello, My name is Brian Sullivan. It's my pleasure being your child's teacher. I've been teaching Physical Education since 1987. I've been teaching here at sad 6 since 2002.  I have a B.S. in Physican Education from the University of Massachusetts as well as a Masters degree from Cambridge College. I moved to Maine in the summer of 2002 from Western Massachusetts. Maine offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities that attracted my family to this area. I teach Skill Themes and Movement Concepts. For example, this means I may be teaching your kindergarten child how to throw and catch. When they are in fifth grade they might be playing a game of Ultimate Frisbee. I was able to acquire several pairs of Tubb's Snowshoes through a grant . My students are also able to pursue healthy activities during the winter months due to the grant. I'm looking forward to another fun and exciting school year. Some of the Physical education units are: • Fall-team building •kicking,Soccer skills and games •chassing,fleeing and dodging •locomotor skills •volleying •dribbling •snowshoeing •jumping,jumping rope •circus arts,juggling •throwing and catching  As Physical Educators, our mission is to get students excited about exercise, promote lifelong learning and healthy lifestyles, and encourage positive social interaction during physical activity. Elementary Physical Education class provides opportunities to learn a variety of activities.
