Greetings,
Busy days are ahead! We're going to be practicing for the spring concert, which we'll be presenting on Friday (rehearsal at 9:30 and concert at 1:45... I think.... ) and we'll be making props for the concert.  On Thursday we're going to be entertained by a basketball team. We're going to be finishing up our planet reports and talking about some famous inventors. Very exciting days ahead!

How can parents help their children find books that are not "too hard" and not "too easy" but instead are "just right"? Here's some advice.
Five finger rule
Choose a book that you think you will enjoy.
Read the second page.
Hold up a finger for each word you are not sure of, or do not know.
If there are five or more words you did not know, you should choose an easier book.
Still think it may not be too difficult? Use the five finger rule on two more pages.

Writing-
-planet paragraph

Science-
-the universe and our place in it

Needed:
*dry erase markers
