MSAD #6 uses a FirstClass e-mail system. E-Mail is used in MSAD #6 for much more than simply sending and receiving e-mail messages for staff people. School buildings post daily announcements, and many discussions are posted to "bulletin board areas" within e-mail. These conferences are used for many categories of messages such as daily news, calendar listings of activities, district news, and submissions of stories for inclusion in our district newspaper, "Focus on Six."

FirstClass is installed on all district computers. Staff members may install FirstClass on their home computers.

To install FirstClass at home:

Go to http://www.sad6.k12.me.us/clientdownloads/ and download the version for your computer.

OR

Go to the First Class download site and download the FirstClass Client program appropriate for your computer. There are simple instructions on that web page:

• Select Windows or Macintosh or Mac OS X or Linux

When you use FirstClass for the first time, it will ask you for the name of your server.
It is firstclass.sad6.k12.me.us
