came over they introduced their names. Then they talked about the car,
then we got to work. The high school made the pieces themselves. We
built the car and designed them ourselves. We each had a buddy. They
also came Friday and then we raced our cars. Then on Monday we

In Mrs.Giumond's class we made rubber band cars.We saw how far they went, and how fast they went with different rubber bands. We had to be very careful with the axles that conected the wheels to each other. Some of us kept breaking them and needed some new ones. When we went into the building we ran our racers with ten pennies and one red rubber bands. We had great fun with the cars. Last Thursday we made racecars with High School kids. We made them from wood. After we built them we numbered and decorated the cars. The High School kids came back on Friday. We went into the hallways of the school to race them. Everyone had so much fun. We even got to keep the cars. The High School kids are making their own.

While the glue dried, the high school students presented lessons on physical science. This was a fun introduction to the next chapter in the third grade science book.
