Buxton Students Vote in Mock Election The Frank Jewett/Hanson Schools in Buxton held a mock election. Students in Sally Neuts third grade class manned the voting booths and the ballet box. John Myers the Town Clerk and Tashia Geaumont the Recreation Director of the town of Buxton set up the voting booths and the ballot box. All of the nineteen classrooms at the Frank Jewett/Hanson School participated in the mock election. Mrs. Neuts reported the results to Augusta and the Buxton elementary students votes were tallies with the state sponsored school mock election. The voting tally was: President of the United States; McCain, John (R)132 McKinney, Cynthia (G) 3; Nader, Ralph (I) 3; Obama, Barak (D) 219. United States Senator Allen, Thomas (D) 119; Collins, Susan (R) 226. Representative to Congress Pingree, Chellie (D)110; Summers, Charles (R)204.                  Entering the voting booth is a fifth grade Hanson student. Fifth grade student casts her ballet in the Frank Jewett mock election. Third graders collect the ballots.
