Buxton Reporters Interview Principal Gnecco

Mrs. Stevens' fifth grade GATES students were assigned to interview Dr. Gnecco, our new principal. Dr. Gnecco is a very interesting person, and this is what we learned from him.

Dr. Gnecco was born in Mississippi and he and his family lived in New Mexico for a short time before moving to Maine. As a student Dr. Gnecco's favorite subject was social studies, and he was very good at it. As he got older he experienced many different jobs. Later, he decided to become a principal. He worked as a principal at MSAD #57, Yarmouth, Acton, Sanford, and Biddeford. Currently he works with us at MSAD #6.

Dr. Gnecco enjoys going on many adventures. Last summer he went to Europe and toured with a chorus group called The North Shore from Massachusetts. In his spare time Dr. Gnecco writes songs, teaches future teachers, works in his garden, and creates stained glass art.

His personal life is very busy. He has two sons, one daughter, and a granddaughter named Eliza. He also has three dogs. Their names are Buster, Lily, and Emmett. Since he has no plans for retirement, we hope he will be our principal for a long time.
