Our State Capitol
These are pictures of our State Capitol Buildings. Where are these located?
Our State Capitol Buildings are located on 34 acres.
The granite used to build the State House was from a quarry in Hallowell. Does anyone know what a quarry is?
The length of the building is 300 feet. How many yards is that?
The dome rises to a height of 185 feet. In the South Wing is located the State Museum. The House of Representatives are located on the 3 and 4th floors of the North Wing. What does the House of Representatives do?
The Senate and The Executive Chamber are in the South Wing. Does anyone know what these two branches of government do for our State of Maine?
